Hello and welcome to the weekend on the blog.
I have two projects to share today using the fabulous Floral Aperture dies from Tonic Studios.
It seems as though you love them too and they have been flying out from Hochanda during the Weekend Wow! shows.
My first card is a partial shaker using the beautiful Oval Pansy die set.
Tonic products used -
Venetian Lace die set
Wings and Things - Monarch butterfly
Many Thank mini sentiment die
Craft Perfect - Pistachio, Bright White, Fuschia Pink and Tonic's construction weight acetate
Nuvo Crystal Drops - Ivory Seashell
Peacock Feathers Confetti
I cut the floral spray from the white layer and backed the layer with acetate.
I replaced the die cut back into the aperture with Nuvo Deluxe glue for a good adhesion.
I carefully went round the aperture with 3D foam on the back to give a space for the confetti to sit.
I then added foam to the edges of the layer.
I cut the background pink layer with the outer Venetian lace die and also some of the separate flowers that come with the die set for decoration.
I cut a piece of the pistachio card stock to give a small border round the top layer and carefully set the confetti in the same area where my floral aperture would be.
After removing the release tape from the foam I carefully placed the top layer down onto the green and 'captured' the confetti.
Both were matted onto the pink decorative layer. The extra flowers were shaped and added to the die cut.
The sentiment and butterfly were placed onto the top layer and this was adhered to the front of the card.
I finished off the card with ivory seashell drops on the pink layer, butterfly and flowers.

My second project today is a decorative plaque.
Tonic products used -
Folk Heart die set
Square Flourish die set
Craft Perfect - Kraft, White Ivory, Red Velvet, Avocado Green, Pistachio green
Happy Anniversary Mini sentiment
Nuvo Crystal Drops - Ivory Seashell
For this one I die cut some chipboard - it needs to be fairly thin (I use the back of board envelopes). I cut two layers to give me some structure.
I die cut two layers of the kraft card and inked the edges. One each for the back and front of the plaque.
I die cut a decorative layer from the white ivory card stock.
I used the gorgeous Red Velvet Craft Perfect card stock to cut the backing layer and the flowers.
I die cut the floral element from avocado green and backed it with pistachio.
The flowers were moulded and shaped and added to the floral spray as shown.
This was adhered to the plaque and to finish I added some ivory dots.
Don't forget to stick the ribbon in place between the layers to keep everything neat and tidy.
Thank you for joining me today.
Have a lovely weekend.
