Good morning and welcome to the blog today.

I've been having a play with my new Tonic watercolour pencils on kraft card, Neenah Desert Storm to be precise.

I've used Tonic Studios Tag layering dies for the card base and layers

The gorgeous Evelyn lace border

The parquet pattern from the Framed Screens collection

Rolled flowers from the Kaleidoscope insert collection

Foliage from the Shadow box main die collection

Gathered Twigs distress ink

Tag from the Easel Card creator die set

Nuvo Crystal drops - Berry Red, Dandelion and Ripened Pumpkin

Papers from CC Shabby Chic collection

Sentiment from stash

😃 I just noticed my Dandelion drop had done a runner after I took the pic. LOL  You will have to imagine it there. 

Nuvo pencils - 

Skin tones - Barely Bisque, Soft Apricot, Iced Tea

Hair - Caramel Popcorn, Pale Blonde, Roast Chestnut

Dress and bow - Toffee Apple, Tangerine Tango

Shoes - Raven Black

I stamped the image in Versafine Black Onyx and embossed it with Nuvo Detail Clear Embossing powder.

I applied a colour wash using the red and orange colours on a spare piece of kraft card and die cut the flowers from that. 

The framed screen section was cut into and inked through to give the pattern on the papers and then used as a backdrop for the main image.

I finished with a fibre and jute ribbon topped with a spare flower.

Hello and welcome to the blog today.

I had the chance to play with the beautiful stamp and dies from Kit #7 and decided to concentrate on the stamped image for my card.

I've coloured the panel with the new Nuvo Watercolour pencils and you can see just how vibrant the colours are in the collection.

The embossed backing panel was created using Tonic's Retro Fern embossing folder.

I inked the folder using Versamark ink and ran it through my machine.

I left it to dry which gave me a deeper colour in the debossed part of the design.

I die cut the panel using the Verso dies in the kit and then the frame from my favourite Lime Light pearlescent Craft Perfect card stock. 

The panel has been simply layered onto the Mauve purple Craft Perfect, the Lime light and then Amethyst Purple Craft Perfect. 

The finished card is 7 x 7" to give you an idea of scale.

Hello and welcome to the blog today.

I have a wee project to share made with the fabulous die set from Tonic Studios Craft Kit #8.

It's a long awaited matchbox die and it makes the cutest little boxes ever. It comes complete with a sleeve die in which to pop the boxes and after that it's only a matter of constructing what you want to make - I've made a wee chest of drawers but you could make anything you wanted with these. 

I used fairly sturdy card stock for the construction and I found about 240 - 260gsm is ideal.

I've added flowers and leaves from Craft Kit #5 and butterflies from Kit #6.

All the decoration panels are included in the set with the stamps to add little labels if you like. 

I used black Rollabind discs that I had in my stash for the feet.

I glued two together and then hot glued them to the bottom of my box.

The finished set of drawers measures 7 3/4" wide, 2 1/2" deep and 3 1/4" tall (including the feet). It's 2 3/4" tall without the feet) 

It's ideal for keeping all those little embellishments, pearls, buttons, and tiny die cuts nice and tidy.

Hello and welcome to the blog today.

Recently I was asked to make some cards for a 17th birthday and these are what I came up with.

My first card (inspired by the lovely Bibi Cameron) was made using Tonic Studios Boho Chic 'Mariposa'

I coloured the die cut with Nuvo alcohol markers and used sentiment stamps from my stash.

I love the dimension with the butterflies and you get four in the set to play with.

I added glossy accents round the glasses frame and some gems to the flowers to finish. 

My second card was stamped using a Debbie Moore freebie from Creative Stamping magazine.

I had the pixie powder background just waiting for something and this seemed like the perfect match to me.

The sentiment stamps are from magazine freebies as well. 

I added some of my Nuvo twine to finish.

My third card features one of Tonic's 'It Girl' stamps that I have paper pieced.

Again the sentiment is from one of my magazine freebies.

I cut the numerals from the patterned paper and dotted the white space with Nuvo Crystal drops in Violet Galaxy.

I finished the card with some baker's twine.

 You will need a piece of card stock that measures 8 x 12" flat.

Using the cutting edge of the die with the score line at the top I cut my card at 3", 4" and 10" giving me a swing card portion at the front and a fancy edge at the back.

Hello and welcome to the blog today.

It's time for the launch of the prettiest dimensional bag dies on the planet.

Join Jodie today on Hochanda as she demos and shares the beautiful makes from the team.

There are so many gorgeous options to decorate with these dies but I'm sharing one that is just plain today.

These are so easily put together, all the score lines are in place and all you need is a roll of high tack tape or glue and you are all set.

This is the Tonic Crochet Lace gift bag die set and it is sumptuous in it's detail.

I chose a 260gsm weight card for the base of the bag and picked some of the gorgeous designer paper from my stash to make a very feminine version. With the addition of some yummy lace and a pearl 'ribbon' it was very quickly put together.

The tags and sentiment come with the die set that also contains a Congratulations banner and Happy Mother's Day tag.

You can really make these bags your own with your choice of colour and embellishments.

Hello and welcome back today.

The Decorative Gift Bags are meant to be a Weekend Wow! on Hochanda but are selling fast so they may not last that long.

I have another bag to share using the same die set as my first bag but with lots of detail cut out using the decorative dies in the collection.

As well as using the dies from the Crochet Lace set I've used the flowers from the Boho Chic die set 'Jasmine' for decoration on the tag and clasp of the bag.

I have made this opulent bag and used the sentiment from the die set. A wee bit late for this year but in loads of time for the next one. LOL

I used Tonic's Deluxe glue to adhere the panels together but also scraped off some of the glitter to give the panel purchase. It's always tricky gluing something to a glittery surface so use the best glue you can and give the glittery card a key and I find that helps.

I have two bags to share with you using the second Decorative Gift Bag set.

It's hard to choose which one is a favourite. 

This one is called Rose Petal and I'm sure you can see why.

Tonic Products used -

Craft Perfect - Rose Platinum high gloss, Ivory White, Espresso Brown

I cut the pattern into the base and backed it with the rose platinum mirror card. I cut the design out in the Espresso brown and overlaid it on top of the ivory cut out pattern to give a shadow effect.

The tags and sentiments are in the die set but could be used with many other projects.

My second bag using the Rose Petal set is in one of my favourite colour combos.

I've used Craft Perfect in Lime Light pearlescent and Bright White card stock

Again the sentiments and extras are in the die set for you to play with. 

The corners are very useful for photo albums and the banners and tags are fab for a lot of other projects too.

Good morning and welcome to the blog today.

I've been admiring the many Eclipse cards I've seen on FB and Pinterest so I thought I would have a go with this latest craze.

I have this stamp image I love by Cherry Green from Crafter's Companion so I chose that to have a play with.

The image is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black, heat embossed with detail clear embossing powder from Nuvo and coloured with Nuvo Alcohol markers.

I cut the 'have' sentiment from an old birthday stamp and heat embossed it with Glacier white ep from Nuvo onto a piece of black card.

I just love the effect of the 'eclipse'. The letters are 3D'd with black foam tape.

Hello and welcome to the blog today.

I have two boxes to share using the gorgeous Cutesy Blooms Square box base and lid die set for the small box and the lid and base used with the Roses and Ribbons Insert die set.

I've used Craft Perfect card stock in White Ivory and Harvest Gold for the decorative panels. The base is 260 gsm card stock from my stash.

For my second box I've used the Cutesy Blooms lid and base die set together with the With Love Insert die set for the decorative panels. 

I used a 260gsm card from my stash together with Craft Perfect in Bright White and Ocean Blue.

The panels were dotted with Nuvo Caribbean Ocean drops.

The label was die cut using Essentials Scallop circle dies and the tiny label from the Towering Trellis Kaleidoscope Box insert die set. 

These are magnificent dies to play with as there are just so many ways to use them. The layering die sets that complement the boxes can also be used independently to make fantastic cards. The permutations are endless.

I hope if you managed to secure yours that you will have hours of fun with them.

I have another card to share today using the lovely new Wonderfall die set 'Bouquets and Banners'. This set includes 12 dies. The base for creating the main mechanism, a strap die to secure it and 7 lovely die to decorate. You also have a 3 piece matching banner set to play with. 

I used patterned paper for my background and floral bouquet toppers from Lili of the Valley I had in my stash.

I've cut slits in the background layers to tuck in the strap ends but you can keep them on the face of your card if you prefer.

Hi again. 

I thought I would pop in with another of the cards made for the latest Tonic Studios launch of the Floral Aperture die and stamp sets. 

For this card I've used the Oval Pansy aperture die set

I've cut the flowers from Craft Perfect Ultra smooth white card stock and coloured them with Nuvo alcohol pens.
